Access to obesity management medications in Suffolk and north east Essex is only available via the Weight Management and Complex Obesity Service (WMCOS). Weight loss Injections 2025
You may have heard reports on the news today that from now GPs will be able to prescribe weight loss injections on the NHS.
This is area-specific and NOT currently applicable to North East Essex hence we CANNOT prescribe weight loss injections.
The Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE ICB) has commissioned a new Weight Management and Complex Obesity Service (WMCOS), which is one of the nationally-approved delivery models for this specialist service. This service is available to a select number of patients who meet the strict clinical criteria being set out by the ICB.
