Access to obesity management medications in Suffolk and North East Essex is only available via the Weight Management and Complex Obesity Service (WMCOS). GPs in Suffolk and North East Essex are now able to refer for this service. Please see the information provided to see if this service sounds right for you.

Weight loss Injections 2025
You may have heard reports on the news today that from now GPs will be able to prescribe weight loss injections on the NHS.
This is area-specific and NOT currently applicable to North East Essex hence we CANNOT prescribe weight loss injections.
The ICB has commissioned a new Weight Management and Complex Obesity Service (WMCOS), which is one of the nationally-approved delivery models for this specialist service. This service is available to a select number of patients who meet the strict clinical criteria being set out by the ICB.
